Tire anatomy
The modern day tires are made from up to 25 component. The tire is manufactured from inside out and consists an inner liner. This inner liner maintains the tire design integrity by holding the air in the tire structure. Furthermore, this inner liner is wrapped around by a fabric belt with bead fastened at its bottom. The fabric belt is covered by the steel belt which ensures the tire stability and avoids deterioration of thread pattern. 

The tire structure is supported by sidewall which offers a wide array of ride characteristics. The shorter profile sidewall provides better traction ability and subtle steering response. Meanwhile, the taller sidewall comes with a better bump absorption ability.

A code is a real deal
Generally, the tire of light and the heavyweight vehicle is marked by an alphanumeric code on the sidewall. While looking for the code you may encounter with the specification which looks like this 195/60 R16 92H M+S

●195 indicates the overall width of the tyre in millimetres

●60- Aspect ratio (ratio of tyre width to height)

●92- load rating (Maximum load that tyre can withstand)

●H- Speed rating (the Maximum speed that tyre can acquire)

●M+S- All seasoned tyre


Before making purchase remember the following points:
●With a reference from a vehicle, handbook knows your tyre size and type.
●Based on the driving style, terrain type, and running distance opt the right tyre.
●Determine load capacity, fuel economy, and ride characteristics and match with a target option.
●You can go for “plus size” unless the car rim diameter matches the tyre spec.
●Tyre combination should not mismatch with original tyre diameter.
