Tips to Choose the Right Car Tyres

Right from the beginning, tyres have been the most important feature and why they shouldn’t be. After all, they are only the vehicle’s contact with the road. Tyres, indeed, play an important role between your car and the road.

If you are having a good set of tyres, then it will improve the handling, acceleration, steering, and braking of your car. In addition, good quality tyres can also improve the fuel efficiency as well.

Hence, it becomes important for you to choose the right set of tyres for your beloved drive. Following are the factors you should take into consideration while selecting a good set of tyres.

1. Tube Type:
There is only one answer to this question, i.e. Tubeless tyres. Talking about the benefits, they are safer and have some other advantages as well. In order to use tubeless tyres, you don’t need to have alloy wheels. However, for the best results, make sure your steel wheels should be rust free.

2. Size:
It is one of the most controversial parts of buying the tyres, especially if you are going for a large size. In size, there are two aspects involved, namely rime size and tyre width. Talking about the first one, make sure you choose a tyre size which is designed as per your rim size. Secondly, tyre width is an important aspect to keep an eye on. Make sure you go wider if your car produces a lot of power.

In addition, take this into consideration that the tyre width also has a perfect wheel width which it works best with otherwise you may end up having stability issues when braking hard or cornering.

If you want to increase your tyre width, then make sure that they do not touch the wheel-wells of your car while turning the steering wheel, especially when the car is under load.

3. Sidewall Height:
Once you have selected your rim size and tread width, now it’s time to choose a sidewall profile that helps to keep the overall diameter of the new tyres as close to original as much as possible. In addition, keep this in mind that a change in overall diameter of your tyre and wheel combo can even cause an error in your speedometer readings that are considered as purely academic.
